JBoss Fuse is an open source Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) with an elastic footprint that supports integration beyond the data center. The lack of license fees and the ability to deploy JBoss Fuse in several different configurations advances intelligent integration to all facets of your business – on premise or in the Cloud.

JBoss Fuse combines core Enterprise Service Bus capabilities (based on Apache Camel, Apache CXF, Apache ActiveMQ), Apache Karaf and Fuse Fabric in a single integrated distribution. One of the center piece of FUSE is Apache Camel project. Apache Camel in an implementation of Enterprise Integration Patterns.

Apache Camel is a rule-based routing and mediation engine which provides a Java object based implementation of the Enterprise Integration Patterns using an API (or declarative Java Domain Specific Language) to configure routing and mediation rules.

When it comes to protocol conversion, routing based on upcoming events, declarative actions to be performed and most importantly glueing the heterogeneous systems together, JBoss FUSE will provide a complete set of tools and applications to achieve that.
